Moriah (Mo) Placer holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance as well as a P-12 Music Education License, both from Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music. She currently resides in New Orleans, offering private lessons in her home studio.

Her freelance work includes symphonic credits with the American Wind Symphony Orchestra, the Youngstown Scoring Stage, and the Youngstown Percussion Collective's recording of "Forms of Things Unknown." She has also performed extensively as a pit musician with theaters across Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Moriah studied with Dr. Glenn Schaft and Dr. Elizabeth DeLamater at YSU, Tom Freer (Cleveland Orchestra), Garrett Arney (arx duo), and Stanton Moore (Galactic). At YSU she served as section principal in the Wind Ensemble, principal timpanist in the Orchestra, and President of the Youngstown Percussion Collective.
